Abstract: |
In the actual working situation of the through-wall-radar, clutter causes serious interference to the detection of moving targets behind the wall. The moving target detection principle of classical IR-UWB through-wall-radar is analyzed and reviewed. Its detection performance is investigated by analyzing its mathematical analytic formula. The IR-UWB through-the-wall radar system and its operation principle are introduced. Based on the through-wall-radar system, the detection experiment of the moving targets behind non-metallic wall is conducted and the radar echo data of the targets in different motion states are analyzed to verify the performances of the classical moving target detection algorithms. For the exponentially weighted cancellation, the adjustment range of its parameters is inferred by experimental data analysis. The experimental results show that IR-UWB through-the-wall can detect the human targets behind non-metallic wall. For human targets in radial movement, the detection performances of the three classical algorithms are at the same level. For human targets in tangential movement or marching in place, the exponentially weighted cancellation algorithm and the cumulative average background cancellation method have better performances. |
