本文提出了一种低剖面、低成本的多波束天线阵列的设计方法。与传统的切换多波束天线设计相比,新设计可以在不切换的情况下同时实现多个波束。多波束由一个简单的馈电网络实现,馈电网络的激励分配由最大功率传输效率法和加权对角矩阵确定。通过调整测试接收天线的加权系数,可以实现8个方向不同辐射强度的多个波束。天线的工作中心频率为5.8 GHz,天线系统主要由辐射部分和馈电部分组成,分别置于两个不同的堆叠基板上,通过同轴馈电。利用八波束共存的优势,可提供全面覆盖和改进链路预算,适用于双向隧道或室内使用的无线通信系统。 |

A Novel Multibeam Antenna Array for Indoor Wireless Communication Applications |

Abstract: |
In this paper, a novel design of a low-profile and low-cost multibeam antenna array is proposed. Compared with the traditional design of switched multibeam antennas, the new design can realize multiple beams in different directions simultaneously without switching. The multiple beams are realized by a simple feeding network, whose distribution of excitations is determined by the method of maximum power transmission efficiency incorporated with a weighting diagonal matrix. By adjusting the weighting coefficients of the testing receiving antennas, multiple beams with different radiation intensities can be achieved. The antenna operates at 5.8 GHz, and is composed of the radiation part and the feeding part which are placed on two different stacked substrates fed by coaxial cable. The co-existence of eight beams helps provide a comprehensive coverage with improved link budgets, and is suitable for the wireless communication systems deployed in two-way tunnel or indoor environments. |
