Abstract: |
The clutter of passive radar presents complex patterns, and the residual clutter with fixed distribution in range-Doppler spectrum has a high local intensity. The space domain CFAR causes continuous false alarms, which will seriously affect the performance of target detection. The analysis of measured data shows that the intensity of fixed clutter changes smoothly in time domain. These false alarms can be reduced by using clutter map detection method. However, the non-ideal signal waveform results in high sub-peak and sidelobe for passive radar. The clutter map detection method leads to repeated detection and false track in this case. By analyzing the problems of constant false alarm detection methods in space domain and time domain, this paper proposes a space-time joint CFAR method for passive radar. This method can reduce the false alarms without affecting the detection probability. The processing results of measured data verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. |
