雷达反射器对入射雷达波具有很强反射能力,其雷达散射截面(Radar cross section, RCS)较大,在雷达电子防御中具有广泛应用。但是传统雷达反射器的RCS一般受体积制约,难以小型化。本文提出了一种具有RCS增强功能的小型化雷达反射器设计,能够以更小的结构尺寸实现更大的RCS。该雷达反射器基于有源Van-Atta阵列,收发天线阵元采用宽带宽波束的磁电偶极子天线,在每个收发链路中加载高增益放大器,将入射波放大后沿入射方向反射回去。收发阵列间设计了基于损耗材料的隔离模块,减小收发互耦引起的自激。制备了最大边长为30 cm雷达反射器样机,实测获得10GHz的最大RCS为5240 m2,大于边长1 m的三角形角反射器的最大RCS(4650 m2)。 |

Design of Miniaturized Radar Reflector with RCS Enhancement |

Abstract: |
The Radar reflector has a strong ability to reflect the incident radar wave, which has high radar cross section (RCS) and has been widely used in radar electronic defense. However, the RCS of traditional radar reflectors are generally limited by volume and difficult to miniaturize. This paper proposes a miniaturized radar reflector design with RCS enhancement that can achieve larger RCS with smaller structure size. The radar reflector is based on the active Van-Atta array. The transceiver antenna array uses a magnetoelectric dipole antenna with a broadband wide beam and loads a high gain amplifier in each transceiver link, which enlarges the incident wave and reflects it back in the incident direction. An isolation module based on loss material is designed between transceiver arrays to reduce the self-excitation caused by mutual coupling. A radar reflector prototype with maximum size of 30 cm was fabricated. Its maximum RCS of 10 GHz achieves 5240 m2, larger than the maximum RCS of tri-corner reflector with a side length of 1 m (4650 m2). |
